I help individuals struggling with meaning, angst, and unresolved emotion.
I help couples in distress feel heard, connected, and more secure with each other.
I'll listen to the how of it while asking the why: why now, why the pain, why you.
Forget the jargon. Reaching out takes more than people admit—and I'm here to meet that with attention and care. That's how we work: guided by what you need, noticing together what's there. You—or you and your partner—are welcome here.
Depth without pretension.
Freud said love and work are all there is. He wasn't wrong — but he left something out. Even when love and work are good, the living is still complicated. And what's complicated is in the living itself.
That's the space I've worked in my whole life- as a therapist, and a person.
As a therapist I listen closely, think quickly, and remember everything. People often say it feels like talking to an old friend — one who sees you precisely, without flinching. I'm genuinely there with you, and yet outside you enough to help you find what you couldn't reach alone.
Warm. Caring. Direct. Also skeptical of easy answers - including my own.
I've been a psychotherapist (LMFT) for a decade. I’m based in New York City, with training in multiple models like EFT, psychodynamic therapy, IFS, and psychedelic therapies. More and more I’m using AEDP — an experiential, attachment-based approach to deep change. I work with individuals and couples.
If you think carefully about your inner life and you're still stuck, that's not a failure of insight. That's just how deep this goes. Let's find out together.
Let’s work.
Sessions are 45- 60 minutes. We meet weekly or bi-weekly via Telehealth, sometimes more. The work is experiential and relational — meaning we don't just talk about what's happening, we work with it as it happens between us.
I work with adults navigating the full complexity of a life: relationships, identity, grief, ambition, meaning, the gap between who you are and who you thought you'd be by now.
Psychotherapy requires commitment of time, money and energy. I’m happy to discuss fees on the phone/email and reserve limited spots on my schedules for sliding scale clients. I know how difficult it is to find a therapist and how expensive the process can be. In order to make it easier I offer a free initial phone consultation.
The hardest part is usually the first message.
